TTI is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established financial advisory firm based in Mellieħa, Malta. Our client offers a range of services in corporate advisory, taxation, and financial management to both local and international clients.
We are looking for a Client Accountant to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance in accordance with Maltese regulations.
Tasks
- Handle the full accounting cycle for a portfolio of corporate clients
- Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and statutory reports
- Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax declarations, and other statutory filings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and perform bank reconciliations
- Support clients during audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards and internal controls
- Liaise with clients on accounting, financial, and operational matters
- Assist with onboarding of new clients and assessing financial risks
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ACCA or fully qualified
- A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a similar client-facing accounting role
- Sound knowledge of Maltese accounting and tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills
- Strong command of Maltese and English, both spoken and written
- Ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a client-focused environment
