Finance Executive (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  
• Maintain and update accounting records and financial documentation
  
• Perform bank account reconciliations, identifying and posting necessary correcting entries
  
• Oversee creditor postings in the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
  
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, providing support for financial reporting
  
• Support financial reporting by ensuring accurate bookkeeping and reconciliations
  
• Assist in the preparation of management reports, budgets, and financial statements
  
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and internal financial policies
  
• Work closely with auditors and provide necessary financial documentation as required
  
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure seamless accounting operations
  
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to efficiency initiatives
  
• Provide support in financial forecasting and data analysis as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounting role
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting
  
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and targets
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese
  
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team
  
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  
• Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to take on greater responsibilities as needed
  
• Ability to effectively communicate financial data to both finance and non-finance professionals
  
• Ability to analyse financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide solutions
  
• Experience with ERP systems or accounting software is a plus
