Head of Operations (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Oversee daily back-office operations, including policy administration, first-line defense for new onboarding processes, and client document filing
  
• Ensure smooth execution of all operational workflows, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
  
• Maintain and enhance operational procedures to align with client’s strategic objectives, improving efficiency while mitigating operational and reputational risks
  
• Act as a key stakeholder in IT projects involving operational functions, supporting business analysis, documentation, testing, and implementation.
  
• Serve as the first line of defense in onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  
• Manage the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) for operational functions, ensuring readiness for any disruptions
  
• Oversee Health & Safety measures, collaborating with fire marshals and first aiders to ensure a safe workplace
  
• Act as a catalyst for change, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
  

Requirements

• Proven experience in life insurance operations (minimum 5 years in a similar role)
  
• Strong knowledge of policy administration, underwriting, claims, and compliance in a life insurance setting
  
• Experience in business process improvement and automation
  
• Proficiency in business analysis, operational risk management, and reporting
  
• Experience working with IT systems related to life insurance operations
  
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  
• Ability to drive process improvements and change management initiatives
  
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks related to life insurance
  
• Strong commitment to maintaining high operational and ethical standards
