TTI is seeking for a Health and Safety Manager for one of our top clients based in Malta. The Health and Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation, and management of occupational health and safety initiatives across the organization. This role is essential in fostering a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigating risks to employees, clients, and the public. The ideal candidate will also act as a key liaison with external stakeholders, promoting a safe and healthy workplace environment.
Tasks
- Develop, update, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures aligned with local regulations and industry standards
- Ensure compliance with Maltese health and safety regulations through regular inspections and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations, reporting, and documentation, ensuring preventive measures are implemented effectively
- Design and deliver tailored health and safety training programs for employees at all levels
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, coordinating drills and training for emergency teams
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety awareness and best practices
- Serve as the main point of contact with external agencies, regulatory bodies, and auditors on health and safety matters
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field from a recognized institution
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, including a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of Maltese health and safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques, risk mitigation, and emergency planning
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
- Excellent communication skills in English and Maltese
