TTI is seeking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor for one of our top clients based in Malta.

As a Junior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage project costs to ensure quality standards are met. Collaborating with Project Leaders, you'll oversee financial aspects from start to finish, contributing to our company's success.



Tasks

  • Minimize project costs and maximize value while ensuring required quality and standards are met
  • Conduct ongoing cost analysis to ensure project financial goals are achieved
  • Manage interim payment assessments and oversee the cost management process
  • Compile monthly Work in Progress (WIP) updates and track financial performance
  • Perform accurate on-site measurements and maintain detailed records
  • Monitor and document materials issued and returned on a per-project basis
  • Collaborate with Project Leaders to verify subcontractor rates and ensure cost-effective resource utilization
  • Prepare claims documentation in accordance with specifications, drawings, and bills of quantities
  • Manage design variation claims and coordinate with stakeholders to address additional costs
  • Audit subcontractor payments and prepare necessary certifications for invoices
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations in all project phases
  • Maintain high standards of quality control and follow all company protocols and field procedures
  • Assist in resolving disputes with clients and subcontractors, ensuring positive outcomes
  • Maintain customer trust by managing confidential information with discretion
  • Attend relevant training sessions and assessments to enhance skills and meet industry standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in construction project management, cost control, or similar roles is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost management principles, and construction materials
  • Strong analytical skills with a practical approach to solving project-related issues
  • Methodical and logical mindset, capable of adapting to project requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to various audiences
  • Collaborative team player who works effectively across departments
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cost documentation and reporting
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet project timelines
  • Maintains a high level of customer service and confidentiality
  • Committed to continuous learning and professional development within the company
