Risk Specialist (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Contribute to and enhance our risk management practices, covering all aspects from identifying and measuring risks to monitoring, controlling, and reporting them
  
  
  
• Work closely with the Head of Risk to execute our risk management responsibilities
  
  
  
• Collaborate with our Actuarial Function to conduct quarterly reviews of our Solvency Capital Requirements
  
  
  
• Perform Risk Control Assessments and support various departments in maintaining their risk registers and controls libraries
  
  
  
• Participate in the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment, including updating our risk strategy and proposing risk appetite adjustments
  
  
  
• Contribute to regulatory and internal risk reporting cycles
  
  
  
• Ensure appropriate risk governance by maintaining documentation and approval procedures
  
  
  
• Handle other tasks as assigned by the Head of Risk

Requirements

• A university degree in finance, insurance, risk management, or a professional qualification (e.g., from the Institute of Risk Management)
  
  
  
• At least one year of professional experience
  
  
  
• Working knowledge of Solvency II (considered an asset)
  
  
  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to management
  
  
  
• A collaborative spirit, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams
  
  
  
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to explain and present information at a senior management level
  
  
  
• Fluency in English and Maltese
