TTI is seeking for a Senior Compliance & Risk Officer for one of our top clients. Our client is an insurance company and is based in Malta



Tasks

  • Applying and interpreting the relevant legislation, policy statements, Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes as issued by the relevant Regulatory authorities
  • Identifying the regulations that apply and measure/ assess their impact on the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Reviewing and confirming the effectiveness of the Company’s policies and procedures
  • Managing compliance risk
  • Maintaining an effective legal compliance program and procedures
  • Maintaining an effective compliance training program
  • Providing information about new rules and guidance through Policies and Procedures and notes or briefings to employees and senior management
  • Producing a monitoring program which will provide information about the business risks and how they are being managed, mitigated or avoided
  • Providing support to members of the Compliance Team in order to fulfil the Group’s reporting obligations
  • Assisting the CCO, Senior Management and the Board of Directors in research regarding new business opportunities and new markets
  • Providing day-to-day assistance to the CCO with administrative tasks, including writing reports, preparing structure diagrams, undertaking research
  • Performing any other compliance-related tasks that may be assigned

Requirements

  • Diploma in Finance or Insurance 
  • At least 3 years’ experience within regulatory compliance in the Financial Sector Up to date with current regulations and laws applicable in the financial/insurance sector
  • Excellent English both written and oral (C2)
  • Working knowledge of any other European language is a plus
  • Competent use of Office pack
  • Able to analyse and investigate/ research certain issues and to provide a relative outcome and report relative to the findings
  • Creative and analytical thinking
  • Strong organizational skills and focus on sustainable and efficient processes
  • Close attention to detail
  • Proficient communication to all levels in the business, from colleagues, senior management and partners
  • Able to listen, reason and negotiate
  • Time Management and prioritization respecting tight timeframe and meet deadlines
  • Multicultural understanding
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
