Show us your talent and apply now! TTI is seeking an Compliance Officer for one of our top clients. Our client is an insurance company based in Malta.
Tasks
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with the Company’s underwriting objectives and regulatory obligations
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, and external auditors, ensuring a constructive and transparent relationship
- Provide expert compliance advice to the Board and Senior Management on regulatory developments and their impact on the long term classes of business carried on
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and internal standards applicable to long terms classes of insurance business, including AML/CFT, sanctions compliance and Data Protection Laws
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements, assessing their impact and advising on necessary adjustments to policies, procedures and processes
- Oversee regulatory reporting and submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop, implement and maintain compliance policies, procedures and internal controls
- Conduct regular compliance risk assessment s, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigations
- Collaborate with the Risk management Function to ensure that compliance is integrated into the Company’s risk management framework
- Lead the compliance monitoring program to ensure continuous adherence to regulatory obligations;
Promote a strong compliance culture across the organisation by providing ongoing training to increase knowledge and awareness
- Act as a role model for ethical conduct and encourage open communication about compliance concerns
- Build and lead a high performing compliance team, fostering professional development and expertise in the regulatory landscape
- Oversee the performance and effectiveness of the Compliance team
Requirements
- Demonstrate a high level of reliability, integrity, and professionalism, with strong organisational skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Apply a well-developed critical and analytical thinking approach when assessing compliance risks and regulatory matters
- Exhibit a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and accountability
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Be capable of working independently and on own initiative, with minimal supervision
- Consistently meet strict regulatory and internal deadlines
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
