As a Environmental Health and Safety Manager (m/f/o) on a full-time basis at the Malta site, a responsible role with broad scope awaits you. Tasks include leading the local EHS team, shaping company-wide EHS and ESG policies, and ensuring compliance with Maltese regulations for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Required is a diploma or degree in occupational health and safety and at least five years of relevant leadership experience.

TTI is seeking for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for one of our top clients. Our client is a leading entity in Pharmaceutical Services.
Tasks
- Lead and oversee work of local EHS team
- Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide EHS policies, procedures, and programs
- Ensure alignment of EHS initiatives with organizational objectives and compliance with local regulations specific to pharmaceutical manufacturing sites
- Develop and implement ESG programme, policies and framework to reduce and manage ESG risks and environmental impact
- Monitor, analyse and report on EHS and ESG performance
- Engage with employees at all levels to promote and develop a culture of safety and environmental responsibility
- Organize, conduct, and oversee safety training programs for the staff, educating them on necessary safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards
- Regularly assess manufacturing site environments, equipment, and practices for compliance and identify potential hazards
- Make recommendations to senior management based on analysis and trends
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including emergency response plans
- Provide adequate recommendations for equipment and areas safety and product containment when new equipment / areas is being designed or upgraded
- Manages the security services
- Applies for all permits and certifications which are required for the manufacturing site to be able to operate and make sure that all renewals are done on timely manner
- Stay updated with relevant EHS and ESG regulations and industry standards
- Ensure all company operations and activities are compliant with local EHS regulations
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field from a recognized institution
- Background in a Chemistry discipline will be considered an asset.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, including a leadership role, preferably in pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of Maltese health and safety regulations and best practices
- Proficiency in incident investigation techniques, risk mitigation, and emergency planning
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs
- Excellent communication skills
Salary
up to €60,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
