Financial Accountant (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Assist with treasury activities, including collections and payments
  
• Maintain relationships with the company’s banking partners
  
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, stamp duty notices, and tax returns
  
• Prepare monthly management accounts and ad hoc financial reports
  
• Ensure financial and regulatory reporting requirements are met
  
• Support the preparation of ORSA, budgets, and forecasts
  
• Assist with external audits and the preparation of financial statements
  
• Maintain investment and related party registers
  
• Perform asset valuations and impairment assessments under IFRS 9
  
• Support the implementation and application of IFRS 17
  
• Monitor finance systems and contribute to process improvements
  
• Assist with accounting policies, procedures, and finance manuals
  
• Carry out general accounting and reporting duties as assigned

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
  
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)
  
• Previous experience within life insurance is essential
  
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory requirements in the insurance sector
  
• Good understanding of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9 and IFRS 17
  
• Experience with VAT, corporate tax, and treasury activities
  
• Familiarity with ORSA, budgeting, and forecasting
  
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively within a team
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
