TTI is seeking for a Reinsurance Accountant for one of our top clients. Our client is a licensed insurance company that provides non-life insurance capacity to Managing General Agents across the UK and Europe, operating under EU regulatory frameworks to support cross-border insurance distribution entity.
Tasks
- Lead reinsurance contract management, including coordination with business departments, reviewing key financial terms, tracking status, and summarizing contract details and endorsements
- Maintain reinsurance master databases for both US GAAP and IFRS 17 across quota share and XOL contracts
- Manage the XOL premium EUC and prepare accurate quarterly XOL premium journals, including minimum and deposit premiums
- Ensure correct accounting of XOL recoveries under US GAAP
- Produce IFRS 17 paids (YSs) and contract-level master data
- Support various finance projects as assigned
- Ensure compliance with relevant UK and international regulatory requirements, including sanctions, financial crime rules, and consumer duty principles
Requirements
- Strong financial, analytical, and commercial skills
- Solid understanding of relevant accounting standards, including US GAAP and IFRS 17
- High proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with MS Office and ERP systems
- Strong communication, organisational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and willingness to improve processes
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within a regulated financial services environment
