Tasks
- Assisting in the ongoing development of the compliance culture within the Company, in particular with the administrative tasks related to the internal Continuous Professional Development (CDP) training program
- Liaising and maintaining excellent working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing guidance and assistance on regulatory matters
- Assisting in documenting the internal ongoing monitoring activity to ensure that the Company mitigates the compliance risks associated with its ongoing operations
- Assisting in monitoring distributors and 1st line of defence controls to ensure that the Company fully adheres to its regulatory obligations
- Adhering to set deadlines and objectives as stipulated by the various legislation and regulatory requirements and to set deadlines and objectives related to internal deliverables
- Assisting with the updating of internal Registers and record keeping obligations for management information purposes as well as reporting to the Executive Committee, and Risk & Compliance Committee
- Supporting with the development and implementation of the Yearly Compliance Plan, ensuring compliance across the different departments of the Company with the requirements of legislation and internal policies through an oversight programme that includes testing, monitoring and reporting compliance with all effective legislation
- Monitoring of any open findings emanating from internal reviews as well as any regulatory findings
- Supporting the Head of Compliance with complaints as well as effect oversight and monitoring of the company’s complaints process, ensuring timely and complete mitigations, where reasonable
- When required, supporting the Data Protection Officer of the Company including investigating potential breaches and handling of Data Subject Requests
- When required, supporting the Financial Compliance Crime Team addressing referred proposals to be investigated from a compliance and AML/CFT perspective
- Assisting with any other duties that may be required to achieve and exceed the functions and objectives as defined from time to time
Requirements
- Must be reliable, trustworthy, well-organised with a disposition to learn having a team-oriented approach
- Have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Maltese
- Apply a critical thinking attitude
- Have accuracy and attention to detail
- Be able to work under pressure and on multiple tasks at any one time
- Be able to work on your own initiative
- Be able to meet strict deadlines
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Salary
