Head of IT (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Develop and implement the company’s IT strategy in line with business objectives
  
  
  
• Lead IT operations, digital implementation projects, and continuous improvement of technology platforms
  
  
  
• Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems, including cloud platforms, networks, devices, and enterprise applications
  
  
  
• Establish and maintain IT governance, policies, procedures, and controls in line with regulatory and business requirements
  
  
  
• Manage cybersecurity, cyber risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness initiatives
  
  
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including DORA, GDPR, MFSA requirements, ISO 27001, and the EU AI Act
  
  
  
• Manage IT service providers, suppliers, vendor contracts, software licensing, procurement, and IT budgets
  
  
  
• Oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, testing, and maintenance
  
  
  
• Advise management on technology risks, innovation opportunities, and emerging technologies
  
  
  
• Lead and mentor the IT team, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  
  
  
• Represent IT during audits, regulatory reviews, and external engagements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
  
  
  
• Project Management qualification
  
  
  
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior IT role within a financial institution
  
  
  
• Previous experience managing IT teams, suppliers, budgets, and technology projects
  
  
  
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, cybersecurity, IT governance, and digital implementation
  
  
  
• Experience with European regulatory frameworks and financial services compliance requirements
  
  
  
• Knowledge of DORA, GDPR, MFSA requirements, ISO 27001, and related cybersecurity standards
  
  
  
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
