Junior Accountant (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Act as the primary accounting point of contact for assigned clients
• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in the accounting system, including basic bookkeeping duties and posting of invoices and payments 
  
• Update and manage general ledger entries 
  
• Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements, credit card transactions and accounts 
  Ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly 
  
• Provide support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  
• Assist in the drawing up of balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
  
• Coordinate with auditors and support the year-end audit process
  
• Process end-to-end payroll for client employees on a monthly basis 
  
• Prepare supporting documents for tax filings
  
• Assist in ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations

Requirements

• Currently pursuing an Accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA or equivalent) 
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in bookkeeping 
  
• Working knowledge of Payroll is considered an asset 
  
• Highly proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills 
  
• Knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office tools,familiarity with Xero and Talexio is a plus 
  
• Positive attitude, proactive approach, and strong interpersonal skills 
  
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
