Operations Manager - MEP (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Overlook and lead, all the small to medium projects when needed, as well as to the large projects both on- site and office work coordination and implementation
  
• Assisting in meetings on both sites and upon final negotiation processes
  
• Co-ordinating design and built meetings with our personnel and subcontractors, doing productive program of works with profitable margins
  
• Giving basic training to all assistants, whilst preparing and coordinating weekly technical office project management meetings
  
• Overlooking all the operations
  
• Monitoring tendering processes and compiling when needed, ordering and negotiating materials when is needed, traveling for fairs and with local suppliers when is needed
  
• Preparing bills targeted to monthly work in progress
  
• Managing the WIP every end of month, by checking what the operations Project Managers/ Quantity Surveyors input as sales per month for each site and verifying sales as per program of works per site whilst reviewing all documentation before sending out to accounts for the official internal accounting processes
  
• Coordinating and preparing drawings when needed, assisting recruitment for the technical area, checking in detail all tender contracts and signatures
  
• Coordinating sub-contractors when needed and with our mechanical and electrical consultants, certifying electrical projects when a warranted engineer is needed
  
• Coordinate certifications with other warranted engineers both in-house and those subcontracted
  
• Be responsible for maintaining an adequate standard of dress and personal appearance compatible with the working environment in which he/she carries out duties and with the post he occupies
   
  

Requirements

• ​​
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and with a relevant and sound experience in MEP Management. Graduates from the University of Malta, MCAST and Ex- Fellenberg alumni will be highly considered due to local work standards and applications
  
• Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in MEP project-based management and hands-on experience
  
  
• ​​Expert knowledge of MEP fitting strategies and techniques, and construction contracts, FIDIC    and/ or British Standards and regulations will be considered highly​​​​​​
  
• Strong MS Office skills and advanced knowledge of construction estimating software programs
