Show us your talent and apply now! TTI is seeking a System Tester for one of our top clients. Our client is an insurance company based in Malta.
Tasks
- Review business requirements, product specifications, underwriting rules, and policy workflows to understand system behavior
- Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases related to life insurance processes such as policy issuance, premium calculations, claims processing, renewals, and billing
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as performance and load testing when required
- Validate calculations and logic for different life insurance products, including term, whole life, and universal life policies, as well as riders and add-ons
- Document and track system defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, underwriters, and actuaries to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, data privacy standards, and internal operational policies
- Prepare detailed test documentation and reports, communicating results effectively to project stakeholders
- Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–5 years of experience in software or system testing
- Previous experience within the insurance or financial services sector, preferably life insurance
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and SDLC/Agile frameworks
- Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools
- Basic knowledge of SQL for validating policy, billing, and claims data
- Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is considered an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
