System Tester (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Review business requirements, product specifications, underwriting rules, and policy workflows to understand system behavior
• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases related to life insurance processes such as policy issuance, premium calculations, claims processing, renewals, and billing
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT), as well as performance and load testing when required
• Validate calculations and logic for different life insurance products, including term, whole life, and universal life policies, as well as riders and add-ons
• Document and track system defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, underwriters, and actuaries to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, data privacy standards, and internal operational policies
• Prepare detailed test documentation and reports, communicating results effectively to project stakeholders
• Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1–5 years of experience in software or system testing
• Previous experience within the insurance or financial services sector, preferably life insurance
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and SDLC/Agile frameworks
• Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools
• Basic knowledge of SQL for validating policy, billing, and claims data
• Familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) is considered an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration abilities
