Fiduciary & Security Trustee Manager (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Prepare and present reports to the Board of Directors on trust performance, asset coverage, covenant compliance, and risk exposure 
  
• Develop and maintain monitoring tools to track financial covenants, sinking fund thresholds, and debt service schedules 
  
• Conduct health checks and site inspections of secured assets to verify existence, valuation, and security validity 
  
• Oversee the onboarding of security trustee assignments and assist with client onboarding processes 
  
• Review and approve disbursement requests and supporting documentation in line with trust deed provisions 
  
• Manage the release of secured funds and collateral once legal and financial conditions are met 
  
• Monitor sinking funds and reserve accounts to ensure sufficient liquidity for debt obligations 
  
• Support company secretarial activities, including statutory filings, board meetings, and UBO register updates 
  
• Collaborate with Compliance, MLRO, and Company Secretarial teams on regulatory and operational matter

Requirements

• Degree in Law, Banking & Finance, Accountancy, or a related field 
  
• STEP Diploma or similar trusts qualification is considered an asset 
  
• 3–5 years’ experience within a Maltese CSP, law firm, or financial institution handling trusts, security trustee mandates, or bond issuances 
  
• Strong knowledge of the Maltese Trusts and Trustees Act, Companies Act, and MFSA regulations 
  
• Experience with legal security structures, statutory filings, and the MFSA Portal/TUBOR 
  
• Ability to interpret financial accounts, valuation certificates, and reserve requirements 
  
• Excellent drafting, documentation, and risk assessment skills 
  
• Strong analytical mindset, professional judgement, and attention to detail 
  
• Excellent written and spoken English 
  
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
