Operations Manager (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Oversee importation, storage, and inventory of raw materials and finished products
  
  
• Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
  
• Plan and manage daily feed production to meet quality and volume targets
  
• Supervise plant operations, including production, maintenance, and distribution
  
• Optimise processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
  
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and ensure equipment reliability
  
• Collaborate with QA to maintain feed safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
  
• Enforce hygiene, safety, and environmental standards across all operations
  
• Lead and develop the operations team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
  
• Monitor KPIs and report operational performance to senior management

Requirements

• 
  
• Degree in a relevant field or minimum 5 years of managerial experience in production or plant operations
  
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, and maintenance processes
  
• Experience in feed, food, or agri-processing industries preferred
  
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems
  
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  
• Financial awareness with experience in budgeting and cost control
  
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office
  
• Fluency in English; Maltese is an advantage
