TTI is seeking a Payroll and Accounts Officer for one of our top clients. Our client is a well-established Maltese firm offering a comprehensive range of corporate, trust, and investment services. With decades of experience and a strong regulatory foundation, the company is known for delivering tailored financial solutions to both private and institutional clients.



Tasks

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounts
  • Record financial transactions accurately and on time
  • Reconcile payables, receivables, bank statements, and payroll control accounts
  • Maintain organised physical and digital records of invoices, receipts, payroll, and supporting documents
  • Assist with client onboarding, ledger setup, and initial data entry
  • Prepare and process payroll for assigned entities or clients
  • Process payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, salary amendments, and employee updates
  • Prepare payslips, payroll summaries, and routine payroll reports
  • Liaise with clients to collect payroll inputs and respond to routine payroll queries
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management accounts
  • Support VAT, corporate income tax, payroll-related statutory submissions, and filing deadlines
  • Support external audits by preparing documentation, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Requirements

  • Minimum A-Level standard of education, preferably in Accounts, or an introductory Diploma in Accounting
  • Commitment to start and complete the ACCA qualification
  • No prior experience required, though office exposure will be considered an asset
  • Willingness to learn Xero and Shireburn Indigo
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits
  • Interest in payroll processes and employment legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Logical approach to problem-solving and reconciliations
  • Proactive attitude and motivation to develop professionally

€18,000 – €22,000 gross per year, depending on experience.
