TTI is seeking a Senior VAT Accountant for one of our top clients. A well-established professional services firm in Malta, known for its expertise in legal, corporate, and financial advisory, is currently expanding its team and seeking talented professionals to join their growing operation.
Tasks
- Work closely with management on technical VAT matters and internal procedures
- Oversee VAT compliance work performed by junior team members
- Handle complex VAT issues, including advisory, cross-border matters, and legislative analysis
- Review VAT returns, recapitulative statements, and related filings
- Support clients with VAT registrations, deregistrations, and compliance obligations
- Liaise with tax authorities on audits, queries, and VAT-related matters
- Attend client meetings and provide guidance on VAT positions and requirements
Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in VAT or indirect taxation
- Professional qualification or certification in taxation is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Maltese and EU VAT legislation
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent written and spoken English
