Tasks

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and accounts
  
  
  
• Reconciling payables and receivables
  
  
  
• Maintaining organised records of invoices, receipts, and supporting documents in both
  
  
  physical and digital form
  
  
  
• Following up on outstanding payments or clarifying invoice discrepancies
  
  
  
• Assisting with client onboarding tasks, setting up basic ledger accounts and helping
  
  
  with initial data entry for new clients
  
  
  
• Assisting in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and management
  
  
  accounts
  
  
  
• Assisting with budget preparation, monitoring, and control
  
  
  
• Monitoring cash flow, expenditures, and financial forecasts
  
  
  
• Reconciling bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  
  
  
• Ensuring compliance with national and international financial regulations
  
  
  
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns
  
  
  
• Assisting with the preparation of corporate income tax returns
  
  
  
• Supporting external audits by providing necessary documentation
  
  
  
• Ensuring studies for the achievement of complete accounting qualifications proceed as
  
  
  planned
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Reading for a Bachelor of Accounting degree or around halfway through the ACCA
  
  
  qualification
  
  
  
• Around 2-5 years of relevant work experience is considered an asset.
  
  
  
• Knowledge of Xero is considered an asset
  
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  
  
  
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and relevant financial regulations
  
  
  
• Effectively time management to meet deadlines
  
  
  
• Clear and professional communication with clients, colleagues and auditors
  
  
  
• Accurate analysis and reconciliation of financial data
  
  
  
• Effective and efficient use of accounting software
  
  
  
• Willingness to adapting to new systems and processes
  
  
  
• Motivation to learn
