Compliance Analyst (m/f/o)

Tasks

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in Malta (MFSA) and the UK (FCA, PRA), assessing their impact on the business
  
• Assist with regulatory filings, notifications, and correspondence with supervisory authorities
  
• Support the preparation of compliance reports for senior management and the Board
  
• Maintain compliance registers, including breaches, conflicts of interest, gifts & hospitality, and data protection
  
• Assist in the coordination of governance meetings, including Board and committee support (preparing packs, minutes, action tracking)
  
• Support the development and implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures across the business
  
• Contribute to the compliance monitoring programme, conducting testing, reviews, and documenting outcomes
  
• Support internal audits and regulatory inspections by providing required documentation and information
  
• Escalate identified compliance risks or issues appropriately
  
• Assist in the design and delivery of compliance training to employees, ensuring understanding of regulatory obligations
  
• Act as a point of contact for staff queries relating to compliance, governance, and conduct requirements
  
• Support alignment of compliance frameworks across Malta and UK entities
  
• Liaise with colleagues in both jurisdictions to ensure consistent application of group standards and regulatory obligations
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a compliance role within the insurance sector
  
• Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements (MFSA, FCA, PRA)
  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical matters clearly and concisely
  
• Resilience and adaptability; able to work effectively with different functions
  
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  
• Strong risk awareness with the ability to understand and prioritise risk
